Offtopic: Dog related.....
 

I know this is a long shot, but anyone know any quality boxer breeders with AKC registered parents that either have a litter currently or are expecting one in the next month or so? I would prefer someone you know personally or have dealt with rather than just picking a number out of the classifieds. I would also prefer somewhere in VA but I would certainly consider driving to MD or NC. I don't know of any of you with boxers, but I figured some of you might have friends, relatives, etc. with one. Worth a try I guess :cool:

I have a friend that got a pure bread not to long ago from somewhere near lynchburg. Ill get you the number if I can.

My brother used to breed boxers until he changed jobs and didn't have the time. He may know of someone in Virginia Beach. I'll check with him and see if he still has any contacts that are breeding them and post back sometime this weekend.

Go to the vet and ask to see the listing of breeders.

My dad is actually a vet, so I've already gone this route :D . The listing for boxer breeders in VA is pretty sparse, and most of the places I've found that seem reputable aren't expecting puppies until early-mid 2006. I'm really looking to get one within the next month since I'm going to have a lot of time to spend at home over the next 3 months. I do have a couple leads that I'm waiting to hear back on. I honestly didn't expect any replies to this thread :D Thanks again everyone!

I don't know how I forgot that you had a boxer Jake! That is Danzig's favorite way to lay on the sofa as well; his head propped on the arm and his body sprawled out on as many cushions as he can fit on :D

My mom just got a boxer puppy a few months ago. I'll ask her where she got her. Shes really pretty too. she's a smaller one though. pm me and I'll ask her tonight. -Cindy :O)

Just to follow up with you, the dog my friend got was just picked out of an ad in the paper, and they didnt keep the phone number. It was in lynchburg though, so if you see any ads for dogs in lynchburg, its probably the same people.

Brandon, try the boxer rescue. they always have boxer from any age.

Great looking pup!You must have a bunch of free time to play with them, I could not handle to two boxers. Sheriff (blind now) still drive me nuts with the "let play" as he jumps and spins. Great dogs!
