OK, why isn't that on the Favia thread, it sure desrves to be there!
BTW, are you the demon Kev Apsley sold his soul to for those beautiful frags & colonies, esp. the Favia?
That Oulophyllia is unreal. Nice pic of a less common favid. I think you are getting ready for more polyps by its looks, too.
Too cool! More close ups! More I saY!

you have some real impressive brains and acan. for some reasons those are my favorite lps's and you have some nice ones. good job

Just Jim 10/19/2007 03:07 PM

well, I'm sold! I've been keeping an eye on coral frenzy for a while now, and was waiting to see someone with a nice tank who used it regularly. I just ordered two bottles and I'm going to give it a go. Thanks!

I really like the coral frenzy. I have been using it for over a year. It has alot better ingredients than reef chili so I went with it over chili. Occasionally when I actually have time I will target feed mysis but that is few and far between.

If people would sell the cool corals instead of frags my tank wouldnt be so frag filled. lol

Any other fish additions? Im gonna add some more fairy wrasse and some anthias
OMG, awesome corals..why not use your old 90g for the frags to grow out so you can enjoy a nice aquascape in your new 180g?

ReefMonger 10/19/2007 04:44 PM

I needed the 180 to fit all the frags lol cause the 90 couldnt hold them.

JustJim,
You will like the Coral Frenzy. I have been getting good growth out of my corals. Its all I have been feeding that goni. I feed a heaping tsp to the 180. I stir it for a good minute then let it soak for about 10 min then I shut off my pumps and dump it in and let it settle on the coral it makes it easier for the polyps to catch. If you have small fish they snag some of the particles.

I have a few more favias that I need to snap shots of. Babys breath, triple threat, ect...

Ill try and snag some more photos this weekend.

Your tank is insane! I love it!

slojmn 10/19/2007 07:53 PM

ReefMonger, Super Sweet...How did you manage to get a frag of the Immolation Chalice???Lucky Dog :D. I am waiting patinetly for my frag of that, very patiently, lol.

Love your tank and when all those babies grow up it will be doubly awesome :).

ReefMonger 10/19/2007 09:45 PM

I live an hour away from the source for the immolation :)

slojmn 10/19/2007 10:15 PM

Ah, well that explains it. Being that I live in the Bay area close to a lot of sources for great corals I can't be to jealous ;).

got2envy 10/19/2007 11:18 PM

Freakin' awesome! I love it!

Nice pieces. Is that your main display or frag tank? Looks like my LFS.

roblack 10/20/2007 06:03 PM

Great corals! Would love to see an update in a year. You're gonna need another tank soon with all those frags!

kysard1 10/20/2007 06:18 PM

Its my main tank. Everything now can grow in. Plus it has way better things than your LFS :)

Yellow plate came through a LFS.

Awesome red fungia, one of my favorites indeed.

Norwood IND 10/20/2007 10:39 PM

Beautiful tank. Gorgeous!!!

Kreeger1 10/21/2007 09:21 AM

How much did the red fungia set you back, Im looking for one now myself
Erik

ReefMonger 10/21/2007 09:25 AM

The red fungia ran me $300. Ever since I saw the red one in Bornemans book I told myself I had to find one. Took 5 years and when I saw it was still available I had to jump on it. An actual rare coral.

slojmn 10/21/2007 10:10 AM

Did you get that red fungia from Sedar at Phishy Buisness?? I saw they had one a few months back but itwas snatched up before I could ring in, lol.

Kreeger1 10/21/2007 10:12 AM

Serdar gets some sweet stuff, its only a 2 hour drive for me to check out the store from time to time.

wishntoboutside 10/21/2007 10:16 AM

wow. that is a very nice tank. i love the lps theme. you did a great job. maybee its me but the more and more i dable into the lps i am more tempted to break down my sps tank. if i do i will blame this all on you!=).

Project Reef 10/21/2007 11:48 AM

Ever since I saw it in one of Veron's books I also had to have one. I've had two, one I eventually gave away to a friend and the other one I killed during a salinity spike. :(

ReefMonger 10/21/2007 01:12 PM

Yea it came from Serdar. He is great to deal.

hatfielj 10/21/2007 02:30 PM

Hey there, that tank looks familiar! Nice job, definitely could become tank of the month with a little growth. Its certainly one of the most colorful tanks I've seen yet!

Chester08 10/21/2007 02:59 PM

wow looks great! FInally an I.D. thats an Oulophylia i love my piece of that never knew what it was called. Tanks amazing i want some of those chalices! Is that large encrusted one a Tyree Lava Red? I have a small piece of that and it looks just like it.
