Here's my Marco shipment. I am absolutely amazed. You know how you kinda need to lower your standards when you buy online? Marco Rocks met and exceeded my expectations and even my hopes. I ordered 120 lbs and got 128. I ordered 30 lbs of rubble and I got half rubble and half small to medium sized rocks. The 70 lb box of medium sized rocks is incredible. The shelf rock I ordered is fantastic.

I don't work for him. |
I only hear good things about Marco.
|
I'm going to use tiggy's idea to build my reef. I haope to be able to use half the rock as normal and have lots of swimming room.
|
you are off to a great start.

I only hear good things about Marco.
The shapes are awesome. I didn't buy the hand picked pieces but, there are no crappy pieces in the boxes. It's like they hand picked them anyway. |
Where did you get the rock? Nice stuff, I was thinking of going half and half myself.
|
nice I am glad I could help.I like the rock he always has nice stuff.

Where did you get the rock? Nice stuff, I was thinking of going half and half myself.
www.marcorocks.com Depending on what product and how much of it... They range from like $1.50 upto 3 or 4 bucks per lb. + shipping. I got 128lbs for $311 including shipping. |
I have the 3/4" sea swirl and it recommends pushing 800 GPH max threw it.I don't remember if I mentioned this.I don't know how much the 1" model does.I would go with a wave box and maybe a wavy sea or two.I did like my sea swirl but the wavy sea has more options and two of these are as much as a tunze wave box.I placed a bid on the tunze power heads 2x6201 and a controller. If I can get them for $300 I am happy.I don't want to use power heads because of the look but if the price is right I will have to suffer a bit.

nice tank! cant wait to see this thing set up.
|
good progress...go for the open look aquascape your fish and coral will love it....great job on the manifold. What kind of light are you going to use?
|
It came with a Guiseman 6 foot 3 bulb, 750 watt light fixture. I have not plugged it in yet but, I was told that it has 14k double ended bulbs on the ends and a 10k in the middle and also that they spread out very well and cross over. I am designing a canopy that will house this fixture and four 4 foot T-5 actinics on 2 ballasts for supplimentation.

I only hear good things about Marco.
I agree. I had the opportunity to cherry pick my tank out of thousands of pounds of this stuff. I must say it wasnt easy. Great guy to deal with. |
Here's the front shots. You can see the ideas pretty well. Right above the shelving unit... I want to put one of those black 8 switch power stips with the red buttons but I don't know what they are called or where to find them. Can anyone help me out on this?

Got one. A DJ board, I mean. I will finish the paint job tomorrow... drill holes for the bolts that will hold the pumps in place... and leak test the tank. Then it gets moved in Sunday.
