Where does everyone get your CO2?

What I really want is to know where I can get it on the weekends.

I have always get mine at Airgas on the the south side of Rockford off of Sandy Hollow. The problem is they work bankers hours and have a hard time getting there during the week.

I do not believe they are open on Sunday. I have a spare 5# CO2 you could use temporarily if you need it.

Rockford Industrial Supply also. I think it cost $16 to fill a 10lb tank. Call ahead first to make sure the guy that fills them is there. Otherwise you mat get stuck waiting or making two trips.

what are the benefits of having a co2 difuser for the tank?

What is a co2 difuser? I would not inject co2 into the tank directly as it will lower your pH and can lower the dissolved oxygen in the water to the point that the fish will have issues.

I think some freshwater tanks use co2 injection to stimulate plant growth, but that is not needed for a reef aquarium IME.

What arre you trying to do with a co2 difuser?

I called around. Best Welding doesnt deal in CO2. However, I found that Do It Best, about 2 miles from my house refills tanks.

Open Saturday and Sunday.
