The first tank is my main 120 gal reef/seed tank, there is two more 120 gal hooked up to same sump, the sump is 150 gal, I have a 10k MH on it, 1 dart for a closed loop on each of the tanks, Im currently running Knop calcium reactor on it, love it!! as well as kalk reactor which i made, it uses power head with timer on five gallon bucket My ro/di hooks up to it so its always tops off.

The second two pics are of my 220 tank. There another 220 tank just like it on the left the both are on a 55 gal sump. In the pic you will notice a big white jet of water, that is my surge machine, every 1 min and 30 sec it goes for about 10 seconds. There two Diy skimmers on it They work ok, but i waiting for my commercial ones two come in.

The camera i was using batteries ran out so ill post more soon, and My main tank AKA 1500 gal island will be done soon and i will reveal that soon as well.

The last pic is of my new baby gators from the Jackson Guard.

Looks great! It's been a while since I've been to the Gulfarium I should come down and check it out in person. When is it open?

Those baby Gators are sweet! I think they are beautiful when they get about 2 feet. How many Alligators do you have there? Any other Reptiles?

Ask the folks in central and south Florida how sweet gators are! They are flat out predators. Necessary part of the food chain? Yes! Cute, I dont think so. Lousiana just opened up a hunting season on them (I believe last year) due to overpopulation. The only real problem I see with a two foot gator is that eventually it will be a 10 foot gator. With increased exposure to humans they loose their fear. Then you've got an item as leathal as a shotgun that you can't put a lock on.

No, beautiful is your reef tank not these critters!

hmm I've never had gator meat yet.. I've seen them at the mullet festival from time to time but never bought any. I think gators have their own kind of beauty, of course like any other dangerous creature of nature they demand a bit of respect and caution. I do like to check out Fudpuckers Gator pool from time to time. I'm sure all the videos on youtube with the guys sticking their heads into gators mouths and getting bit gives the people knowledge not to mess with these creatures. Just like people that keep Blue Ring Octopus in their tanks, they are nice to look at but deadly enough to kill 26 men.

I think the beauty of an animal has to be put into perspective. Southern AL. has it's own problem with Alligators. I believe Al. did a hunt this year, as well. When humans encroach too far into the natural territory of any wild animal, the animal always looses. I'm not saying this is right or wrong, everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the matter, I most certainly have mine. :)

That said, I love reptiles. I've raised them, I have them. I think alligators are cute at 2 feet long. Something I'd want for a pet? Would I want one in my neighborhood? Uh, no. But there is an innate grace and beauty I see in watching these animals in the wild. There is a difference in learning the personalities of reptiles than, say, a domesticated animal. One must have respect for the natural instincts, and the understanding that the caretaking must be centered around the animal's needs and not the Human's. This includes the realization that in some cases (and all cases involving wild animals to be returned to the wild) Human interaction must be limited as much as possible.

Personally, if someone wants to stick their head anywhere near any large reptile's mouth, it's their perrogative. In my opinion, you get what you ask for. The sad thing is, who suffers when idiots are let loose around dangerous animals? The animal, almost always.

Well put Sue! I doubt that either of us would want a cobra for a pet either (unless it hac an eight cylinder engine).

After i get back from my vacation i will only have the Island tank to finish, I will be getting a truck load of agranite base rock in soon as well. On a side note im happy to say the gulfarium is going green. We are going to install flow generator on are waste water pipe that goes to the gulf free electricity!!! also solar power as well. Right now im use geo thermal heating for my baby gators, the temp stay at 68, 70 degrees even in these cold spells. Im think on doing the same thing for my fish tanks. Pics ill post tomorrow.

James thanks for all your guidiness.

I didn't give them to you. You took them, remember?!? You called Premium Aquatics and asked for the order I placed, using my name. Good luck, you'll need it.

I'm lost! Do you mean that he hijacked an order that you placed for yourself? I hope I'm reading that wrong. Maybe my age is catching up with me?
