Identify (without picture) Night Critter

I finally checked out my tank with a flashlight after the lights were off for a few hours. Very cool by the way! Here's my description of the critter I saw scavenging on the LR:

~1/4"
Kinda metallic pinkish coloring
Body shaped almost like a Japanese Beetle, tear drop like
Two antennae(sp?) and a small snout
Moved slowly - snail like

I know it's a weak description but any help with an ID would be appreciated. I'll throw this over on the Newbie board also.
