Cheap shipping on heavy items

Some of you may already know this, and I'm not sure if it's their normal shipping rates or some sort of special, but Drs. Foster & Smith have the cheapest shipping rates on heavy items I've seen so far. I just ordered one of the big buckets of Reef Crystals and a 30 lb bag of sand, and the shipping was all of $10. Out of curiousity, I put the same order into Marine Depot, and the shipping would have been $40. Not too bad. . .

I was looking at that myself. I thought it was interesting.

They use to have an additional shipping charge on salt but about 6 months back they got rid of it. That bumped up the price (about $2 if I remember correctly). Its still a good price. Unless your like me and always need to order a $0.99 item. I use them alot unless I need high end equipment.

I just got a bucket of Reef Crystals too. Probably should have bought sand too but didn't think of it at the time. I thought that the price was the best that I'd seen too.
