On the 3rd of July, my girlfriend and I (each armed with our own camera) got to go over to our new friend Sharkdude's house and we took lots of photos of his large reef system. He was nice enough to send us home with some new frags that he has grown in his tanks. :D We received 3 stalks of Red Sea Xenia, a frag of Tree Leather, 2 large Green Mushrooms, and some Feather Caulerpa. :D So far all of our new inhabitants are doing well. Even the mushrooms! I think I am going to give Sharkdude our old mushrooms that still do not seem to be very happy, and see if he can get them to turn around look more healthy.

Here is a photo of our tank with the new frags.

After the Xenia frags have been in the tank for a few more days, we are going to put them up on the Live Rock somewhere. The Xenia stalks are attached to a piece of red algae and will be easy to seperate when the time comes.

There are more pictures at our website of both our Nano, as well as Sharkdude's large reef system. Have a look and let me know what you think!

can you take a closer pick of the tree leather? because from afar it looks like a colt.

is there a difference between a finger leather and a tree leather?

The problem is so man people use different names that it gets confusing. IMO a tree leather would be a finger leather also known as Sinularia. The tree leather I would call a kenya tree or a Capnella. Hpoe that helps!
