Sorry about the short notice, but I am planning a trip to Rod's Reef in Dekalb tomorrow.
If anyone in the area would like to go LMK.

You could of gave us a heads up I've wanted to see this place. A lot of people in Chicago say he's one of the best up there.

I'm trying here, it was a last minute decision on my part.
I am seriously considering purchasing some oynx clowns, plus I wanted to look at the corals he has.
I can take picts and make everyone envious after I went or I can try to give notification (granted it was short) and see if anyone has any open time.
I've been there several time before and I'll agree with the people from Chicago...definately worth the trip and that's exactly why I will be going.

Are you traveling thru Bloomington on the way?

Sorry, won't be going thru B/N.
I usually travel to Minonk and then up to Dekalb.

Definately worth the trip! Get some of his Rod's food, your coral growth will be incredible, and it lasts a long time. Call before you go, he does not always go by his set buisness hours.

I have a pair of his clowns and they are very cool, I also bought his food and the fish and coral love it. I need to get back up there and get more corals from him too. He is a real nice guy to deal with also. But best to call fist before you make that 2+ hour drive.
