I am thinking about starting a Nano reef since I have a 90 gallon that I was going to make a Mini-reef but couldn't resist the Puffers. :D

Anyway, I would like to get something at least 10 gallons and hopefully not more than $300 for the setup with the necessary 10watts / gallon of lighting. I have the Live Rock and Live Sand to add already.

heck if you have LS and LR you should be able to do it no problem

just buy a 10gal at wal mart fro like 10bucsk and a heater, powerhead and that would be all you need....lights of course. this is a ghetto set up...you could add more.

Yeah, what Lunchbucket said!
You probably have LR and LS in your 90 already. Just take some of that out and stick it in your 10. Eventually, you can add a few more pounds of LR to the 10 and also replace some of the rocks you took out of your 90.

Lights will be relatively pricey but not that bad. I bought a 2x36 wall PC set with an already made hood from AH Supply. It cost me just over $100 (can't remember exactly). So it's not too bad.

Then you can beg for some coral cuttings, caulerpa, etc. to stock your tank! :)
