acrylic display units on 2/4's, sumps, chiller, u/v. I'm not the owner. I'm trying to buy part of it from the owner, but they want to sell all in one fell swoop, and are trying to sell on another forum.

What's the makup of the displays? If i understand correctly, they're 8' sections of two sided displays in 24 foot rows. 3 of those and 1x24' wall unit?

So, 1 8' section would have 3 or 6 or 12 tanks in it? What size are the individual tanks in the unit? I'd be very tempted to buy 1 8' section just for the tanks. Can anyone shed some light on exactly what the unit layout is, because i'm having diffuculty picturing it.

Each section has three or 4 tanks in it that are 30 - 40g and then there is the 2 layers of small tanks that are maybe 2g each and I think there are 8 - 10 of those.

yes each section is 8' 3 inches (mabye 4). there is a matching upper tier (pretty small) on each. the tiers are then plumbed into a sump. each 24 foot section has a sump. you're offer to buy, would have to specify whether you wanted the sump or not. I know one person considering this would not want a sump. If you bought the one with the sump, then I would buy the last section without, and plumb it into my current system. If you didn't want the sump either, I would create a stand alone system.

What local store is going out of business besides TMR?

Whatever you think it is worth. I will change my offer to include a specific listing offer, which includes your individual 'bids' on things. my offer includes the wall unit, chiller, and one of the two available u/v units. It also included an 800 gallon water tank. I can give that up. also if nobody else wants the 2nd sterilizer, I will try to pick that up. But I will add your $ to mine for the "total bid" to see whether it flies.

Oh, and I was going to try to pick up one 8' section on top of that, for fragging/swap meets.

if we get a number of folks interested, and especially if the mall manager gets no other offer for the whole thing, maybe I can get him to let us all in at once so we can come up with offers based on what we see - maybe even tag things with post-it notes...

I like your ideas of the hands on offers. Right now we are making bids on objects that we dont really know the condition of.

So if I can make an appointment, who would be able/interested in meeting at the old store, and what day/time works best?

It'd probably have to be on the weekend. Bring your gas mask.

as discussed, put me down for the 2nd uv unit.

weekends or mon/thurs nights work best for me.

thanks!

I will go take a look if we get a time together. Does anyone know what a reasonable offer would be for the 8 foot sections?

Hey, I'm stuck in normal for today and tomorrow morning only. I also contacted him but he failed to email me back. I was interested in his whole set up but I think he might be asking for a little too much. I would like a lot of the tier set . Not to sway away from the topic but What else is there to do in normal, il?

I'm off this weekend. Let me know if you get atime to go look. I'd be interested in a section if the price is right.

Think you would be o.k. with a couple of 24 foot rows? If so, I think we can all put a deal together.
All who are interested: the quickest way to get me is 212-1872, so we don't spent the next several days posting back and forth ;)

sorry. 309-212-1872. Chad - the mall manager has control of this, and if you want it all, I'll bow out. If you want part, then we can discuss. At any rate, I don't have pictures, but maybe chad can get them to you. I'm mostly interested in the wall unit. It isn't described in his posting - he calls it 4 double sided...it is really 3 double sided, and one single sided wall unit. If I can get another row for frag swaps, and fragging, then great. I'm just not offering a premium for the opportunity, since I could build what he has for sale pretty easily. let me know.
