Hello, anyone have any of the brackets that come with the maxi jet powerheads...the one that you can attach the powerhead to the side of the tank with the suction cups only?

any chance I can get it from you? I was thinking about coming over to get some live rock possibly on Monday (if you still have some for sale), maybe I could get it then??

Sounds good....or if you're going to be at the meeting Saturday, I can bring it then.

Just a warning, those things eventually WILL fall off as the suction cups age. This often results in some huge sand storms and can even cause tank crashes if you disturb enough of a deep sand bed (if you indeed have one). I really recommend you use a bracket that attaches to the side of the tank instead, or even better use a magnet.

Leland, I wish I could be at the meeting on Saturday, but I have to work.

Kurt, thanks for the advice. I did have that happen a couple of weeks ago. Since then I went out and found some better and significantly bigger suction cups and have enough that I can replace them every now and then. I don't like how the hang over the side brackets look and/or how they hold the powerheads.

The magnet mounts are a good idea and I may end up experiementing with this idea. I want to keep a low profile for the mounts/powerheads as well. Eventually, this will be a non-issue when I set up my other tank, with the sump, etc.

Rick,

James (jcavanaugh18) is picking up the remainder of the live rock this evening.
Do you want me to send the bracket with him?
Or do you want me to mail it to you?

either way would be fine. I haven't met James yet, so that would be cool.

Let me know.

I should have checked the forum earlier...he's been here and left...and I still have the bracket.

So, I'll need your address unless you feel like a drive.

I'm driving to Nashville, TN on Monday; so I probably won't come up to Peoria/Pekin way for a while. I can send you my address and if you have PayPal I can sent you some $$ to cover the shipping.

It is a 60 gal; so I'm doubling what I have now. I was hoping to go a little bigger, but the deal fell through on that. But, it just give me more time to build up the funds. Still, it will be nice to have more room for everything.
