new skimmers

i for some reason really wants to try a baar aquatic skimmer, anybody tried one before?
my 5'x4" cc skimmer works great rigth now, i just want to play with something, allthough the bigger pumps are kinda off a turn off

I would highly suggest buying an Octopus skimmer or one of the new Tunze skimmers. These skimmers are supposedly one of the best bang for your buck skimmers out there.

If you want to do 50/50 DIY. Buy yourself one of the cheap Octopus Venturi skimmers (not the needlewheel version) and just mod it with a needlewheel pump....Either a good ocean runner or if you want a superb pump, get the aquabee or Eheim pumps from finsreef. If I had known about those venturi skimmers I never would have wasted my time building the skimmer body.

well, i suppose i allready have the aquabee 2001, im thinking about it, i got the body made up for a needlewheel out of pvc, im thinking ill just make a big cc skimmer instead. and make a nw skimmer to
