I would like to be a member. I live the same distance to Bloomington as to Champaign.

It seems that the people at CIMA are acting like little spoiled kids. And you can quote me on that one.

Nah they just strayed from the light of reef keeping. They are good people deep inside.

I am a little too far south to join your club, and I am in SLASH. But I just wanted to Congratulate you all on your very own new site. It is well deserved and over due IMO. I want to wish you the best of luck. and maybe when you get settled in and things worked out, Maybe SLASH and BNARC could have a get together. Seems both of our clubs were born of the same needs and determination.
BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF YOU.

That sounds great, and something I think the club would love to do somewhere down the line.

We are not going to restrict anyone from participating in any other club. If you want to participate in another club that is up to you. We merely started a new one because we were not happy with the direction of our old club. We feel that we now have a fresh start and are headed down the right path. We would be happy to have you join us for the ride.

I would like to be a member. is this the replacement club for CIMA or are we splitting off? I dont have enough time to keep up with the theatre.

This club is a branch off that is made up of B/N area residents, but is open to *all* surrounding areas as well. It has no connection to CIMA other than most of our members used to belong to that club but came with BNARC when it was formed.

We are striving to keep the atmosphere here positive and non-confrontational, because it fosters an enviroment that encourages questions and learning. So far the response has been great.

I'm rather new to this stuff, but nothing has died yet, it all still looks pretty good and is growing, so I'll give it a try. I'm interested in getting to know more than just "having a pretty good idea" of what I'm doing.

Hello all, I'm new to reefs. Right now I only have a FW tank. I'm still reading and learning about SW tanks.

I live in Peoria but I work in Bloomington. Would I be able to join.

sure, just ask any questions you have. There are a lot of people on BNARC that know a lot about reefs.

I just want to make something clear, regardless of weather or not you are an official member, anyone is free to post and ask questions here on the BNARC message board. Im not sure many understand that. If you are interested in becoming an active member of BNARC (IE attending meetings, outings, group buys etc) then you should ask for membership. If you dont see yourself becoming an active member there is really no need to officially join. However, we would be happy to have all of you :P

Thanks. I would like to check out Michelle's new 240 (her equipment list is sweet) but I've got to get some trees in the ground before I leave town on Sunday. Do we have a web site yet? If not I can write one next week. Let me know.

Not yet, we are working on it. Now that we have some funds from the collection of dues at the meeting, we will be able to get a web server going and we will be good to go.
