The Florida Panhandle Reef Club is having it's September meeting. It is still on for this Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - Noon at The Gulfarium in Fort Walton Beach, FL. We will meet in the north-west part of the parking lot (if your back is to the Gulfarium, we will meet along the left side of the parking lot, out a little ways) and walk in as a group. I had wanted a little bit of a head count so Chris (at the Gulfarium) can get the right amount of snacks. EVERYONE will need to sign an waiver. Shame on us for not getting that out before hand.

Wear cool clothes (may be humid in there) and shoes you don't necessarily mind getting wet.

If anyone wants to meet at my house in Crestview and carpool down, that would be fine. We are meeting at 8:00 a.m. sharp and leaving soon there after. Google or MapQuest my address: 105 Mill Stone Cove, Crestview, FL 32539 So far I have Mike (Island Crow), Griffin (The Griffin) riding down there with me. Bill and Lance, if you want to join us, please let me know so we don't leave without you.

If you are able, please bring an extra frag of something (preferably a soft coral or something along those lines) for The Gulfarium.

We are going to have a frag swap after the meeting. If you don't have frags to trade, bring some $$ as most folks will let frags go for around $10/frag depending on what it is. Maybe even post some pictures here of what you have to bring. Another good idea is to bring a picture of what that specific coral looks like in your tank. I may try that if I find some time in the next day or two.

Everyone is welcome. Our club is open to everyone, whether you have a tank or are planning to set one up some day. No dues, secret hand shakes or tattoo's are required to join.

I think that is it. Any questions, please feel free to post them here or call me if you have my number.

I'll of course be there. I'll also bring some frags of my Turbinaria reniformis (scroll coral):

For softies, I'll bring along some xenia and mushrooms and cabbage leather for trade or donation to the Gulfarium. I also have 3 finger leather frags that I'll be willing to trade away as I start to move away from the octocorals. They've taken on a little bit more of a blue/green tinge since I took this picture:

Hey, don't blame me, you wanted it on your big

chest and I couldn't stop you. Maybe you could add some pipe fish and an octopus and spell out "MOM".

**EDIT**

You would think I could raise something as easy as Zoas, but I just don't have the touch. They spread like wild fire in some people's tanks, but not mine. What makes them grow for you guy's?? Here's a pic I got from P'cola a couple months ago, (they're not spreading):

Same with my Hammercoral, still the same size as when I bought it and not branching out. SPS no problem, they grow. Hmmm?? Here:

That is an awsome Scroll Coral Mike! I'm planing on bringing 2 good sized Arrow crabs (spider crabs). Any one intrested? They look great, mainly eat algae (like green hair & cheato) and things like bristtle worms. They dont bother fish (even my baby Ocellaris clowns), snails, crabs, or corals. :strooper:
