I have a pair of perculas spawning every two weeks, so far all has gone very well, except.... capturing the newborns from the breeders tank. I've read Joyce Wilkersons book several times and can't really find any details on capturing the fry other than shining a light in the tank and the fry will be attracted to it. I've tried several different intensities all aimed at the surface with little sucess. I usually end up scooping the fry out 1 or 2 at a time, this usually takes a couple of hours to collect most of the fry. I'm sure there's an easier way, does anyone out there have a better method? Removing the eggs before they hatch is not an option. The parents have selected a large piece of base rock that their anemone is attached to. Any thoughts, suggestions?
