70watt iwasaki dmi mini pendant pic

this is a pendant ive been kicking around
i have 2 of them
id like to use the 150 50k iwasaki in it over my new 2.5gal sps reef
i know a 100watt coralife 55k bulb works with this fixture
they are medium based bulbs are they thin
any hints or tips(on the 150 watt 50k)

ill use a 5 gallon or custom make one the height of the 2.5 but alot more square like 12x12
once i get the halide and fuge together

no ones seen a 150watt 50k saki yet?
i think its a good bulb for 1 sqft
i also have a 175watt ballast and a few bulbs lying around i may use it instead
but id like to not need any actinics and theres not a bulb good enough for sps that doesnt need actinic supplementing in the 175 watt range
ive thought of the 14k from hamilton any advice
im thinking a 50k saki will end up over it though

there have been a few picture threads with that bulb in the main discussion forum. surprised you didn't see those, i'll do a search and see if i can come up with a couple links. IMO the bulb looks great and i'd definitely use it over a nano. i hear it works well with the $50 sola f-can 150 watt ballast they sell at http://www.1000bulbs.com/

what im wondering is if it will fit in my 70 watt saki mini hood
i think this little tank may just come down quik as it went up
ill get a 10gall from walmart and ill just put the 175 watt i have with the 15k xhanium over it
i also have a berlin classic skimmer for it and a cpr overflow
just more practical
i like the way the 2.5 looks with tonga but i probably have enough branch to fill the 10 gall anyway
dont know how well a 175 15k xhanium will work for sps
though mabey ill stick with monti's for it
till i get somthing like a 250watter for it
i was also thinking mabey a 400watt 20k radium on a core and coil ballast

good news for the 2.5
it now gets to be a xeina filter for the 10 gal sps tank
also if anyone wants to give advice on lighting
mainly i want fast growing colorful stags in the 10gal
