what is the normal behavior on a daily and weekly basis for a common octopus...at least that's what i think i bought. i'll post pics when my digital camera arrives =]

do they typcially hide all day in a rock cave buried in sand, or should they be more active and moving around the tank.

should they be fed everyday and how much food in proportion to their body size w/out tentacles length?

also should the lighting be dimmer than the standard fluorescent bulb?

thanks

Most species tent to be nocturnal with the exception of O.bimaculoides. Even bimacs will tend to stay with in their den unless searching for food.
Octopues willl eat till they are full then discard the remaining food. They can be fed every day or every other day. Tjhe amout of food fed will determine the rate of groth.
As far as lighting goes, A NO Fl bulb is fine. They tend not to like bright light.
