so can i drain dry and silicon and refill and be ok?????????? any feed back would be great. its a 180g

Bulkhead? Don't use silicone. Make sure that the rubber seal is in the inside of the tank. If that does not work, replace the bulkhead.

ya it looks like ill be getting a new bulkhead then. where is a good place to get them in the east valley?

I have nightmares of this happening to me.. All I need is for 400gallons of water to come crashing to the floor... Or worse, slowly drip to the floor...

I guess all one can do is hope he got them tight enough the first time right?

What size? Schd 80 or 40?


ATR,Aquarium Arts and Pets inc which are the closest stores with them near you .


Also if the cheap bulkheads are overtightend they can leak . Hand tight works best.

I have an unused SCH 40 1 1/2" bulkhead.. You're welcome to it.. I live in Ahwatukee..

well i was kinda smart and this was the leak test so only about 30 gallons had to be drained. and that just went to the sump. so ill just replace the bulkhead tomarrow but where is a good place to get them?

Go to the ATR and bargain with Skip. He usually gives me a pretty good deal.
