just found it while brosing good price and have heard some people say they were looking for some

i was gonna buy one of those, but i never really got any answers for my questions about it in the main forums...it says that its a new balast but a used housing..that wouldnt affect the way it runs at all would it?

no the housing is just the cover around it

its refurbished so its not new and i dont know brand try the link

It's cheap because:

1) no name, refurbished ballast
2) magnetic as opposed to electronic
3) reflectors probably aren't the best

Having said that, its not a bad entry level setup.

that is what i thought for a newb to MH it is a pretty good deal and i think it has a one yr warranty

i know that i saw one by the same seller a while ago that was exactly the same, (he had like 200 of them lol) but it said brand new "not" refurbished. I'm thinking he had 150's, 175's, and 400 watt setups.
