I think it would be interesting for all to see what size seahorse tanks are out there. How about it?

:)

Can someone please tell me how I can get more people to respond to my question re: tank size. I really am interested. Why 31 views, but only 2 responses?

Thanks!

I have a 46 bow with a 12 gal sump. Plenty of room and it does great.

65 Gal with only 2 horses in it right now. Adding 6 more from OR on 6/7. Can't wait.

Thank you for the responses. Keep them coming.

As for myself, I currently do not have any horses. I had one once, over 10 years ago but the lfs where I purchased him gave me what I realize now was POOR advice on his needs. I trusted them. I lost my horse. I am considering setting up another seahorse tank. I love their personality. I have a 150 standing empty that may go full reef or may go seahorse. Thinking it over. Whatever I decide, I've collected LOTS of info on the needs of both and will do it right this time.

I don't think I would recommend using a 150 tank if you have little experience with keeping seahorses. They would have so many places to hide and it would be difficult to see them unless you havd about 12 pair and when you get up into the numbers like that it is best to have some experience. A 35 hex is a great size tank. You do want a tank that is at least 20" high though.

Got a 95g semi-reef, with 70lb of liverock, running since 2 months. No seahorse yet, but everything that was put in was with seahorses in mind. I will get my first in about 1 month! :)

I'm on seahorse.org too, same name (tank profile: Neptune's madness)
