So, I just made 15 gl of RO so I can prepare my next batch of salt water and took the lid off the the trash can I store my water in. Well, My stupid cat, Byoki, must have figured the lid was still on because before I could yell at her, she jumped and right into the water she went. (this isn't the first time either) I wish I could have recorded her reaction cause I swear I would spend all my time watching it over and over. The only bad thing is that I had to dump all that RO due to cat hair. I'm just glad I didn't add the salt yet like the last time only the last time she didn't go all the way under like today.

hahaha! too funny!

speaking of which, quick question....when you have SW sitting, do you put a powerhead on it to keep it mixing?

Always, Never let it just sit, It will go stagnet on you unles it is completely sealed off from outside air coming in. I use a garbage can to do my mixing. I know that stupid cat will do it again...I just hope I have a camera next time.

Yeah...you saw how my water sits. Do you think I should have a powerhead in there somehow?

A small one wouldn't hurt and by small, I am talking about a 50 gl per hour pump since your container isn't all that big. It should keep the water well circulated.

You can probably find a cheap one at petbox that comes with a box filter at petbox for under that. Take a look before you order.
