fresh water dip with star polyps from LFS How long?

please let me know how long I should do a fresh water dip on a new rock I got from my LFS. Star polysps on it.

Unless you believe the star polyps are infected with something you don't want to put into your tank, there is no need to do a dip. If you want to be sure, use a dip designed for corals instead of using freshwater.

FishGirl is right. Lugol's solution is perfect for that sort of thing if you need to dip.

As far as I know there are no predators of star polyps that would just come in on a rock that a dip would get rid of. I would not dip the rock at all if I were you.
