Hey all, its about time for me to replace the bulbs on my 48'' Orbit PC unit, its on a 72 gallon softy tank right now.

Right now it has: 2 of these, http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=PC1657

and 2 of these: http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=PC1658

I guess I am happy with them so far, but is there a better combination of bulb temps for softies? Personally I like a medium blue/white kind of light, but I am more then willing to sacrifice that for better coral growth. Thanks in advance!!!

Usually, the "purebred" bulbs tend to give better colors (at least to my eyes, but it might just be an illusion). If it were my tank, I would use 2 10K and 2 actinic bulbs.

Agreed ... I dont like the idea of a 67k/10k bulb. I would just go with 2 10k's and 2 Actinics
