·June Event: Please join the GRMAS on Saturday June 24th at 1am, to see the new string ray exhibit at John Ball Park Zoo. The club will pay for ½ of the admission fee for members who attend.

·July event: Member Picnic: The GRMAS will be having a picnic at Riverside Park from 11am-3pm on Saturday July 29th to show appreciation to it’s members. The picnic is a potluck, members and families please bring a dish to pass. There will be a sign up for dishes on the Reef Central forum to help ensure we do not all bring the same thing. The club will be providing live good, dry goods, book, etc to raffle off for current members present as a “Thank You” from the club. We made a list of items people are interested in during the meeting, we hope to have: fish, SPS corals, soft corals, LPS corals, clams, dry goods (test kits, supplements, etc), books, salt (instant ocean), inverts, etc present.

·The club voted to enjoy the picnic and get to know each other a little better and will plan to reschedule the fragging seminar for later this year. We are considering having the fragging seminar as a Saturday event in September, a date has yet to be decided.

·We are considering having a speaker stop in sometime this fall to discuss sea turtle research, please look for further information and times regarding this as we get closer to setting a date.

·The July meeting topic will be: Nano/ Pico tanks and the August meeting topic will be: Zeovit.

·June meeting topic: Test kits. Due to limited time Scott Yonkers and Brian Vu performed the majority of testing while items were being auctioned during the meeting. Thanks Brian for bringing water for us to test. You can compare the results between different test kits below.
