I'm sure it could be done but I'm also sure it would be pretty risky.... unless its acrylic

Why would it be risky?

glass has a tendency to go "boom" when you try to put holes in it. You can demonstrate this by taking a rock and throwing it at a window (preferably not mine) get the picture

Well I hope you dont drill holes with rocks. Drilling your tank using a dremel and a tile cutting bit is really easy and youve really gotta be in a rush to screw it up. Just take your time and keep water dripping onto the area your cutting to keep it cool. Good times.

You can take it to a glass shop and they will try (most won't garantee their attempts) for about $10 a hole. you can also do it yourself using a dremel or rotozip using a solid carbide tool, lots of patience, and lots of water for cooling and chip removal. Way back when... Doody posted a link to a guy that cut his own slots/holes and posted a video and directions. You might want to do a search on the DIY section for it.

Hey all, I'm Back!!! Ask tommarrow as I need sleep.

DeLiBoY, I have done 4 x's 1" holes and 1 x's 2 3/4" hole in 1/2" thick glass with a rotozip bit in my 125g. I water tested them for a month with no leakage. I'll try to post a couple links tomarrow that helped me. If not, maybe I can do them for you if you buy the bit. It's $7 a bit and I did all the above holes with 1 bit.. Drop me a pm if necessary.
