Hey guys i just got a fire shrimp about 3 days ago and its hiding behind all of my rocks.
do they always hide??? i know after a shrimp molts they can hide

are they a pretty active species

Most of them do hide all the time. Mine is very active roaming around the tank. BTW-I've a pair of Red Banded gobies like the one in your avatar.

I've no idea. I know males fight. Since these don't, I belive they're male and female or both female.

i've had my fire shrimp about a month now... he's molted once since i've had him.... he seems to hang out underneath a 8 headed frogspawn... you can still seem him... just have to crouch down.... he doesnt really move from there all to often

once he sees food in the water... thats when he starts to run around like a little kid... seems to not go after the food... so i gotta spot feed him

Yea they hid quite a bit. Very shy but beautiful just the same.

I had a pair of Fire Shrimp, both of them used to hide wherever they could. But when the food was in, they used to jump and run anywhere. :)

A shame ´cause they are very beautiful.
