View Full Version : 2 feather dusters vanished over night

hi there is there a predater that eats feather dusters iv had 2 in my tank for months i packed them in sand in a barnicle no problem the crowns were out every day. i got up this morning gone! even the sand was gone out the barnicle. iv got verious shrimps,crabs snails,starfish iv put in bristle worm trap but nothing any ideas?

what kind of shrimps and crabs? many of them will munch dusters if given the chance.

Ive seen my brittle star rip feather dusters out of the sand and start munching. Had more than 20 that i could count, now I have none.

It is a good chance they just threw their fans. All three of mine did that suddenly. I thought they were dead also but after a week or so I started noticing new fans developing from the tubes.

yes you are correct shookbrad on closer inspection now i can see small new fans growing thay both did that at the same time living in barnicles next to each other must have been a reaction to something
