Is 4800gph to much for a softie tank?

It may or may not. My question to you is, is 4800 gph what your pump is rated at? If so, how much distance from pump to tank (ft of head). This lowers the amount of return flow, sometimes dramatically depending on the pump. There are also some other factors to consider. How many flow paths into the tank are there. For instance, 1 flow path would nearly barrel everything over at a full 4800 gph, whereas one on each end would be better. 3 or more would be ideal to break up the flow.
Perhaps others can shed some more light on other factors to consider also.

Well your overflow handle 4800gph? Or are you talking retune and powerheads?

My return pump is 1200gph,but I was going to do a closed loop with a sequnce dart(3600gph).
