I dont know, I just know they are VERY sensative. You would think a coral that thrives around sewage would be a little more flexible, but when my pump failed, even though I got oxygen and a little current going with emergency actions (and got a new pump that evening), it did my xenia in :(

They are very hardy however they don't do well in low nutrient enviroments.

Bill,

The light should be fine, just put the xenia in mid-upper level of the tank with medium flow (enough current to make the arms sway slightly, not blow over). Xenia love lots of light and will enjoy sometimes chowing on phytoplankton(Cyclopeeze, phytopheast, kent chromomax, etc) Tons of light will make it grow very fast. Hope this helps.

Bill,
Your light is ok.
Put the xenia with medium light and flow.
Don't feed, they don't need.
If your xenia grows too much just cut it and make new frags.
I make xenia frags every day...it's so easy.
