Fire/Bristle worm size?

At what point if any do bristle or fire worms become bad for a reef tank?

I have a 75g reef and I have a long time inhabitant fire or bristle worm, he/she is at least a good 2ft if not longer when stretched out. All coral and fish are happy and I see no damage to anything.

The only problem is when it crawls under my Maroon Clown in her home and the Clown tries to move it and gets a face full of bristles, but that hasn't happened for awhile.

If it's Pherecardia or Hermodoce then any size is too big! But Eurythoe & the other genera should be reef safe at any size as long as they have enough food.

How can you possibly tell? I looked up images but it is not clear.

How do you know it's your best friend from 80 feet away? From all the details of appearance you've learned over the years. Lots of reefers can identify stuff I can't even guess at because they've seen these things more than I have. But worms are my babies.....

On the other hand, I can't tell from REMF's image what his other worm is. Just not enough detail, sorry!
