The Discovery channel is airing new episodes of Blue Planet tonight. I am sure they will repeat both of them later. I am recording both of them in VCD format in case anyone wants a copy. The one on corals in absolutly amazing. This is hands down the best documentary on coral that I have ever seen! Dont miss it.

Again if anyone wants, Ill have copies of it in VCD format (will work on almost all DVD players).

You didn't include the time/channel info...if you have it.

Thanks.

Keith, if you want to (and we'll have to figure out the logistics... maybe it's time I put IIS back on), you can send it to me and I can host it (cheaper than mailing out CD's).

Don't get too excited, it's just an old laptop projector and a pull down screen, but it makes for a good show

Get chucker to bring the DVD's and we could have a party...
Motivate me to finish the new room too.

I can make copies of course (for educational purposes only , not for profit). But I think IIS would be a great Idae Kev. Let me know how that works out. The Coral reef episode is 600 MB. Of course I could compress it too.

And after futzing around with IIS at Tood's on saturday post meet, I don't agree that it's a great idea!

Apache...sigh...

Well Damn, I should bring that Ultra5 home from work then ;-)

I didn't know you were a Sol. admin. We've got an E4500 at work that's my toy ;-)

Hmmm........I guess I could offer to lend out my "Life on the Reef" video to you guys, but you probably couldn't play. It's in ancient VHS format!!! :p

E4500?

Bastard.

Production environment... we don't **** around :-)
When the presses are worth $800+/hour, you don't want to wait 5 minutes for a file to copy :-)
I should have you stop by some day... you'd like some of our toy's (and christ, we're on your way home).
The Catalyst 4006 is the one I'd really like to get my hands into (don't you just hate me now ;-). Don't know enough Cisco CLI (we're not on IOS).

Got you beat there Kevin.

I have setup and installed both a 4000 series and a 6000 series switch. :D

Oh, I've worked with 3500s (we had 4 of them at one site)...that was the largest. two of them had A3500 Disk Arrays on them, and another had an L3500 (I think it was...100 tape capacity). The group had something for the 3500 line.... ;)

Oh the war stories of that site....the guy who set it up was "learn by hoping" type that tweaked everything to the point of half of it not working if there was a problem with anything else. Hell, the entire site (200+ systems) were on HUBS (!) when I got there.

Let me know if you are hiring where you work...I'm always open to getting out of doing PC support...which is where I am stuck now.

Later.

This puppy is big, took me 20 minutes to DL from work (600kbps!), and then another 20 minutes for the file system to move it from the temp directory to my download folder (I love windows...)

Download from here... (http://www.morelweb.com/~kmagyar/bp02.mpg) Most of you will want to right click and select "save target as" to download.

Thanks for ripping and posting this baby Keith!
I watched the first few minutes of it this afternoon, beautiful footage...

I started the download the other day and assume it finished....haven't had time to check it.

If I have it (and I will get it one way or another), I'm going to edit out any commercials and make myself a VCD.

Let me know if you have an interest in one like that.....

Kevin,
let me know if you had trouble with the download and I can give you an FTP login, that might be easier. I just assumed most people would rather right click and download then have to set up an ftp client to login...

It was more of a "I started it then left the house and never got back to it" thing....I'm pretty sure it came down fine....just haven't confirmed it.

Thanks though. If you want a mirror, I can set it up on my system at home (which now is running 8 different domain spaces, woohoo!).

Later.

So you're the one sucking all the bandwidth out of my neighborhood ;-)

8?!?! Jesus, how do you do that? With RoadRunner?
Are these TLD's?
