Hello,

We have a Kenya Tree soft coral that has been in our tank for about 6 months, and today we noticed that it was dropping off little branches! This is how it multiplies, correct? How many babies to they typcially drop at a time, and how often does this occur?

Thanks!

Congrats!!!

I have had that happen a few times before. My Kenya dropped five or six babies at a time. The first time it happened was about six or seven months after I got it and then the second time was between six to nine months.

I don't really know how many babies my kenya tree drops at a time but it seems like a million lol. i will see little kenya trees all the time and i take them to my friends LFS to sell. Congrates on your kenya tree reproducing. ben

They reproduce like rabbits or hamsters...

Mine dropped arms for a week and I had to get it out. the babies were attaching in hard to reach places. I don't know how long it shed at the LFS where I sold it but when I was there recently I could see a few small ones growing where it was sitting before they sold it.

I would put some rubble around it so that they are easier to remove.
