Noticed this 1/2 inch orange worm like looking thing on the glass two days ago - no thicker than a thread - probably thinner. Yesterday it had branched legs of different lengths along it's body.
Literally look like branches - they go in different directions. It hasn't moved much - maybe a little. Any thoughts as to what it could be?

It might be a "Spaghetti" (Cirratulid) polychaete worm. Try looking them up on google image search and see if that is a match. They are depost feeders and generally beneficial critters to have.

Did a Google image search and maybe it is a red one, I can't tell because of it's size. Too small to take a picture. I now see that its end is clear but it is not moving around like a worm would. Also, today the branches or roots and not present off the main body. Definately not like the white spaghetti worm in the picture but found a pic of a red one so possibly. We'll see if it grows and then I'll take a pic.

Thanks

Joe
