needed info: Purple Lemnalia

i tryed to reseach on this softy but have no luck, the only luck i had was searching for a few photos on a website. i dont know the exact species and hoping if anyone have any experiences with these corals? are soft corals suppose to be stiff or soft or droopy? and if softies will take in dried cyclop-eeze.

Cyclop-eeze will work but its on the large side, Oyster Eggs will work better

i have one its about 9 inches tall its soft and droopy in the morning well the lights turns on but then a half hour or soo it stands tall plus it drops little babys like crazy over all a really unique piece oo i have it under 260 watt pc on a 55 gal it likes flow

thnx for info. at 1st i thought i bought a carntaion coral then a yellow tree coral but later then i found out it was a lamnalia. polyps opened up right after i put it into my tank so im guessing its healthy, also a small stem fell off and is doing great, guess these are easy to frag.

Mine is very droopy, but its a basketball sized colony. Extremely aggressive (will make a hammer/torch/frogspawn coral close up) so be wary of what it can touch. Lights do make it perk up, but it never stands "straight up", its always bent over (could also be the 12" - 14" branches).

I never deliberately feed it, it gets whatever it catches, but it does love higher light (keep mine 8-10" below the surface, right under a 250w MH).. Mines a Pink Lemnalia too.. FYI...

I would venture a guess of medium flow too, because mine receives mostly medium flow with some higher flow bursts..
