The New England Aquarium may be of interest to many aquarists in our area.It is closer than most of the other major aquariums, only 6 hours away from Rochester,NY,located in historic Boston,MA. The kids are guaranteed to love the place.Only drawbacks: LOTS of people, and Boston's infamous TRAFFIC!!! On the plus side:Good, inexpensive seafare...AND one of the few major public aquariums in the USA with quite a number of excellent marine displays.Unfortunately, most public aquariums do not 'farm' live corals in many ,if any, displays.Perhaps this will someday change. There are excellent 'fake'replicas of corals to recreate the reef environment in many displays. And the reef fish there are incredible! Here is a live webcam link to the giant 'Oceanic Tank'.The size of some of the angelfish, puffers, and triggerfish in this tank is INCREDIBLE!
