I am a little late and The Reefstop has upped the prices so I was wondering if anyone has used any of these sites?

No such thing as overkill when it comes to skimmers.
I've never heard anything about those companies either.

You will be more than happy with your purchase of an ASM!
after thereefstop.com
I would try asmskimmer.com
Good luck!

ASM's ratings are WAAAYYYYY off- That is probably the perfect size skimmer to go with for your tank.

They are about 1/3 off on thier claims. Thats they claim about 1/3 more than what the skimmer can/should or could do. I have an ASM G3 w/Recirc on a 90g RR with a 55g sump. My total water volume is around 135-149 gallons. The G3 is rated for like 180g I think. Mine does just fine, although just because I want it, I'd like to have the G4 or G5 on my set-up.

I got an ASM Mini in yesterday, put it on my rock tank, and wow I am amazed of how well this thing works.

To be honest I think skimmer ratings are very much open for interpretation. To me a good size skimmer for my tank is one that keeps the nutrient levels at zero, and plays a major role in keeping the glass clean! :-P One thing that I've noticed with those with "way oversized" skimmers was the fact that they rarely ever had to clean their glass! In my opinion, if it take a skimmer rated for 500 gallons to keep things absolutely spotless in a 100 gallon tank, then that's the skimmer that's perfect for my 100 gallon tank. I think that the manufacturers ratings should be perceived as the MINIMUM for the mentioned tank size...
