As most of you can see, we have started a new club for saltwater hobbyists in the Saint Louis Area. The idea grew from the fellowship that developed the last several months during pizza nights and thinking of ways to better promote the hobby of reefkeeping. With the desire to broaden the hobby in the Saint Louis Area, we decided to start a new club rather than try to upset the apple cart at SEASL.
Currently, there are over 40 people! interested in joining and I think the numbers will only grow with time. We are looking forward to creating the most interactive club available. We hope to accomodate reefers on weekends and weeknights for those with hectic schedules and those who want more time learning and hanging out with other hobbyists.
The membership will have an active voice via this forum and through regularly scheduled meetings. We look forward to growing together and having a lot of fun.
Our Board of Directors has been established for the first year and these are the people charged with getting things going smoothly:
Capncapo aka Greg (President)
ramtheory aka Dennis (Vice-President)
Sirreal aka Jack (Secretary)
Letmegrow aka Steve (Member at Large)
Nanook aka Dave (Treasurer)
Please be patient with us as we are just getting things going and have several meetings as a board before we have our first organizational/town-hall meeting.
We welcome members of SEASL as well as members here on Reef Central to join SLASH. We hope to bring an exciting hobby and club into the forefront of Saint Louis saltwater hobbyists.
