Hello eveyone!!

I am new for this website. Need your option about the rock crab?
I found the rock crab in my reef tank, bought it from private owner last year. Is the rock crab harm to reef and fish tank??

The term "rock crab" is really generic! Without a good picture, I would be difficult to identify what species of crab you actually have. As a general rule, all crabs are opportunistic ominvores. As a result, some people purposefully never introduce crabs of any sort into their reef tanks.
My own experience is that small crabs that live their whole lives inside a coral head, have caused me no problems. I remove any hairy hitchhiker crabs and those w/ red eyes, as some have reported problems with them. If your crab stays in about the same location and you target feed him/her meaty marine foods, you may not have problems either. If your crab is getting large and you don't want to be troubled target feeding it, I'd suggest removing it if you can.
