Great Fish Store

For the New Yorkers not aware of it, just across the ferry in Milton Vermont is a fantastic fish store call Milton Mini Reef (MMR). They are only about 25 min from Plattsburgh if you catch the ferry or about an hour if you drive up and around the lake.

They just recently moved and the pics have not been updated on the site, but it will give you the contact info and directions. They have an amazing selection of fish, coral, and drygoods. The owners Bruce and Trudy are fantastic people, and great to work with. Check them out and be sure to tell then you're from New York. They love it when we come over.

i want to open one

Join the club, I'd love to open one as well. Plattsburgh unfortunately has no good place to buy reef stuff. Animal house carries some fish but no coral to speak of, and 3 guys has some great coral sometimes but don't have the tanks to maintain it. They are slowly moving in the right direction, but at this point they seem like baby steps. Too bad too, the store has a lot of potential.

i like tem they just need to clean. would a marine/fish store realy make it in the area

I think a small "clean!!!" one would. I don't think the owner would be driving a Mercedes or anyting, but I think it could be done. You'd be suprised how many people have reef tanks in the area.

i know and theres a lot of people that want to start one. i may bring someone to a meeting and they may start one anfter she gets info. i just wish i knew how to take care of a buisness

I will be around this weekend it isn't hard to find my place at all takes about 1.5 hours to get from platsburgh less depending on how you drive. You would be welcome to bring others along with you.
