Hugo, what a wonderful tank, I agree that it looks more like something in the ocean rather than a tank. AWESOME! I too would like to know where you get your corals? I need to be on their mailing list :) one of the nicest tanks I have ever seen. Looks like you need to frag some of those too, if need be I'd be willing to help out :) and take some off your hands. I have one question, How did you keep the pipefishes with the triggers in the same tank? Have your trigger ever caused any trouble?

i keep my pipefish and my triggers with now problem and have had the pipefish close to 3 months they maintain alive because i always feed all fish with brineshrimp and mysis and a lot of frozen cyclopeze so the trigger dont stay hungry

Great tank!!! I have been at this for about 6 months. My tank is small but I am growing to a 90 gallon. My question is how do you get the live rocks to climb to the surface? Do you use PVC to "tie" them to or do you just do a good job of stacking them? The other question is how close do you stack them to the back? Close enough that you cannot get to the back glass to clean it? Curious and attempting to learn.

i stack them and i leave about 2 inches off the back but i mostly dont clean the back only the top back not the bottom back cause you cant really see down there and alll my corals are glued on disc rocks but the rocks arnt glued to the stacked rocks so i am able to move them when want unless sometimes they encrust all the way around the disc and those are the ones i cant move

Great tank- just wondering how 20k bulbs have worked so well in your SPS tank. It looks from the first image that your pendants are very close to the water surface, but can be pulleyed up for tank maintenance. Am I correct?

the reflectors i can move up and down because they arnt permant nailed i have them aon a wire that i can pull down and up

Are there any concerns with having the sump room in a garage? I assume the garage couldnt be used to park a car because of exhaust?

do you do anything unique to maintain coloration. so often i see beautiful corals fade to dull paleness. your coral's colors a deep & vivid. very nice.

Hugo- the pleasure was all mine. I enjoyed taking the pictures and just watching that amazing tank... and I really really enjoyed the food! Your wife is an awesome cook :D
Mario- thanks I appreciate but I have to say your pictures are spectacular- and I don't think using the top-down box is cheating at all- just another tool of the trade.

UNBELIEVEABLE! Yours is the most inspirational tank I have ever seen. You have corals I have never had the pleasure of seeing before. I am in SoCal also, did you get all of them from other RC members or do you have a fav store around here? Would love to study your tank when I set up my 100g!

I don't really do anything specaial. I just do my water check every two weeks and feed my corals with frozen cyclopesis and i'm checking my water quality.

Beautiful tank!

"Every third day I also mix in some Liquid Life BioPlankton® with the Cyclops-Eeze to feed the clams. I typically feed only once a day in the late afternoon prior to the lights tuning off."

Is there any reason why you feed prior to turning off the lights?

SPS corals scare the hell out of me at the moment as I'm only a year ahead of your own soapy-goldfish shennanigans although I'm lucky enough to be working at a retail aquarium which has sped things up so much for me. Seeing your work and knowing that you were once me in terms of knowledge is beyond inspiring. Just stunning.

Each month I think the TOTM is the best reef tank yet, and I can't believe my eyes when an even better tank is awarded the following month. I think success is easily measured by the feelings your work invokes in others, and the inspiration it provides. Without a doubt I would say your tank is a true sucess among sucesses. Looking through the pictures of your tank, and perusing your website left me amazed. Your journey to such a beautiful tank is probably very similar to nearly everyone elses, and this I thank you for sharing. Hopefully we can all achieve such dreams and goals with our tanks. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful tank with the RC community!

I am very sorry to hear about your crash. You really need to take before and after shots incase you can sue those morons at the electric company.

Good luck with your fight.
