This little guy has a body length of maybe only 1.5cm right now and has mostly pretty subdued coloration, although it does darken as he gets more excited (which I guess it does for all of them). Sorry they're not great photos, but they had to be taken with the digital cam.

Hard to tell from such a small picture. Could you send some biiger pics?

Sorry cephalopoder, but I have tried and tried... you see below actually the better attempts out of many. I am using a digital camera without focus, so it is hard to get a closeup without the little guy going way out of focus; if I take it from far away, he ends up being tiny. The pics were originally a little bigger, but trust me, the resolution is no better and I've even tried sharpening the images on photoshop to no avail. If anyone has other suggestions with a Kodak DC215, I'd be interested in hearing them, but for now those are my only ones.

is there a setting for "Macro" on that camera? If so, use that.

Sorry, no such setting and I've fiddled with all the settings--highest resolution and sharpness has no improvement. Only decent photos I am able to take of my tanks with that camera are from far away...attaching one of my 75 gallon planted FW tank (that I'm also using as my mini-icon now)
