I am trying to save these guys from the LFS, and would like to get a positive id. I think they are either Bartletts or evansi's. The were sold as Purple Queens, but I don't think that is right.

My best guesses are:
Pseudanthias tuka (female)
or
Luzonichthys waitei (color variant)
I think the facial structure is to rounded to be either P. evansi
or P. bartlettorum, which have a more of a pointed face.

It is this species as Robert details...Pseudanthias tuka (female)
I have kept these myself, they are very difficult to feed. They require alot of food to keep up with their metabolism and they have small mouths.

Eric, I believe you are right. The larger of the two is eating frozen brine and cyclopeeze, and the smaller just a little cyclopeeze. I hope I can keep them alive, but I think they have a better chance in my tank than the fish store. They had them for about a week, and they were being harassed in that 55 gal.
