I took lots of photos of him swimming above his hole but I guess i need a different shutter speed? They were all blurry

Marie,

What a cool looking fish! My kids think that he's got a mutant form of chickenpox

What a beautiful fish! Can I get more details? What other tankmates? How long have you had it? Is your tank covered? Did you help build its' home?

Thanks,

Pam

Thanks for the compliments.. I will tell the fish:)
Pam, In answer to your questions...He's new, I've had him about 2 weeks. I have him in a 3g for now...his tank should be ready in about 2 weeks. Tank is very covered... His only tankmate right now is a yellow clown goby who he accidentally ate (with a peice of food). I'm not sure what to put in with him.. my 30 g is overstocked...probably will move the 3 chromis. Yes I helped build his home.. made a hole in the sand with my finger and put rocks in front to make it seem a little deeperMy kids think that he's got a mutant form of chickenpox LOL! We considered calling him Kermit because he looks like a frog and moves like a muppet when he turns around (hard to explain)
More pics here if anybody wants to see them....Showing off new fish (http://archive.reefcentral.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=78994)

he accidentally ate (with a piece of food). I should probably add that he spit him right back out - sorry! But I can tell you that I will always have that split second picture of the jawfish with nothing but the bright yellow tail fin tips of the goby sticking out of his mouth burned in my memory forever!:eek1: The goby is a very difficult feeder - maybe the jawfish was just trying to show him how it's done ( up really close) Now the goby is even more careful as he contemplates each tiny bite:(

I have thought about getting a jawfish, and your pictures make me want to put an order in with FFE.

Does anyone know whether they'll eat peppermint shrimp?

I have a 110 gallon, and the shrimp stay hidden in the rocks almost constantly, so the jawfish would really have to go hunting to find them.:strange:
