Hi! Just starting out and looking for donation of "cups of sand" to feed my new setup (37 gallon). I'm in Park Ridge (right near Living Sea). Anyone out there like to donate a cup of sand (or more) to help me get started. I have a sandbed with a little life seeded from my LR (the more diverse the better though they say), 35# of LR (3 large pieces), pair of clowns, Royal Gramma and a firefish and a bunch of snails and a few crabs. Its been running for about 2 1/2 months - so far so good.

Thanks!

Cheers!

I will donate some sand if you are interested, but I too don't have much life in it

You should see if you can buy a cup from The Living Sea or Sea Dwellers. If you want you can join WRS and come to meetings. There are always sand trades as well as coral trades. Once you become a member we trade so you really never have to buy corals. Members just hook each other up. eric

Thanks for the replies. I added a pound of key-west sand with an etropicals order and it was good - lots of worms etc ...
