I'm planning on making some large fish paintings to hang in my living room, and I'd like some photos I could use to paint from. If you've got a large, well-focused picture of your fish (direct side-view), I would love to use it. I'm most interested in tangs, but I want to see everything!
I will definitely snap some pics of the finished paintings and share them. This will be my first attempt at painting fish, but I have a degree in studio art so the images shouldn't be too badly mangled!
Thanks in advance to all who share.

The photos aren't that great due to a) my camera kind of sucks b) i have no skill. However, I do have some side view shots of my seahorses, so perhaps some of these would make good subjects?
I'll just post the url and you can pick if you like.

I've got two pictures for you. One is a Gold Band Maroon, and the other is a Spotted Mandarin. I'll try and take a good picture of my Powder Brown Tang for you.

I had given up on this thread... thought no one was interested! I *could* technically just find pics and paint them, but I don't want anyone screaming at me for a copyright/property violation when I'm rich and famous...
These pictures are great! Gregr, I don't know if I'm skilled enough to mix that shade of blue! The anemone is a great background, too.
SuperGook10, that goby is going to be very fun to paint. So much personality in its face. (Does he/she have a name?)
NKT, what a gorgeous wrasse! I might have to use oil paints for that one to get the blending and the fin texture right!
Tamani, you have some great seahorse shapes going on there! I think seahorses are a great subject. I can get the more detailed parts from one of my roommate's books. I'll have to nag you when my boyfriend sets up his seahorse tank!
Troutman, just AMAZED you got a pic like that of your six-line. I have to watch my tank for five minutes to see mine for a split second!
Skitaemen, your pictures are sweet. You really got a great shot of that maroon's color! Looks just like my maroon!
Please keep them comin'!
lol, i never really thought of naming my fish, seems like odd, hehe.
