I stumbled into an abominable store last year in Canandaigua on my way back from a camping trip... but it wasn't even worth mentioning, let alone stopping by. I know Chucker's gone out that way once or twice to visit a friend, and I think he's stopped in at a few places, but to the best of my knowledge, there's not much out that way. Maybe some of the Binhamton guy's can comment better.

we have a few stores in binghamton, about an hour south of syracuse. here is a link to a thread that has a pretty good description of the stores around here, just go down a few posts and you should see it.

I know this report comes a little late but might be of some value to others in the future.
There are 3 stores that come to mind.
Fairmount Aquarium is probably the most popular for reefers out east, however they are expensive and limited.
There are 2 stores within 2 miles of each other in North Syracuse off of 81 / route 31. I am sorry of not knowing the names.
I would grab a phone book out there and look.
The better of the 2, is off 81 north on the route 31 exit, take a left, (west) and make a quick left on route 11, the store is less than a 1/4 mile on the right.

Now let me tell you I have not been to any of these stores in a couple of years, my how time flies, so I am not sure how they are these days.
