View Full Version : REEFNEST Winter Digital Photography Contest Entry, Rules, Prizes

1) Micro shots
2) Fish, inverberates, and corals
You must submit the following information at a minimum about each picture:
Picture Title:
Picture Description:
Which Catogery the photo entered to:
Name of Photographer:
Camera Equipment Used (camera make/model, tripod used?, flash?):
Tank Lighting at Time Photo was Taken (type,wattage,color temp):
Feel free to include any additional information about how you took the picture, it's subject etc.
1) Two submission per category per person
2) No copyrighted or watermarked photos, REEFNEST must be able to use it as they wish after it is submitted
3) There is no minimum or maximum resolution but higher is better.
4) Format is JPG but we can deal with almost anything. Photos to be sent to reefnest@reefnest.com.
5) Winning images can’t be resubmitted for future contests.
6) Submitter must be the photographer and copyright holder of the submitted photos. And submitter can take the picture of other aquariums than his/her own.
7) Only aquarium photos and not from open ocean or reef.
9) Submit Before Midnight March 20th 2006
Prizes
Best photo of each category will get the following..
1: 10 frags of winner’s pick from SPS or Soft Corals
Winner will be announced on March 25th 2006

Got a question...
What would you consider to fit in the "micro" category? Smaller than snails... Macro lens only... ?

Well, lets say Macro is shooting anything that is smaller than a snail (good point and I did not think about that). Some people macro is to shoot a picture of snail for example and some to shoot a picture of snails eye (etc) so let say anything that is smaller than a snail (about an inch). Thanks and good point.

i also thought that the micro just meant macro shot of being a close up of somthing oh well post what i sent if you think its eligable.

I actually was forced to do two close-ups in macro mode. My camera won't focus on stuff smaller than what I sent.

I highly recommend gmail, the google email. Tons of storage and it's organized really really nicely.
Plus, outlook express is very prone to icky things... like virii
