i took the coral out and i ended up having to kill the crab to get it out. even out of water and being dipped in freshwater it still held on.
anyone know if it really would of done any harm?

I think you killed your acro cleaner guy. I do see a black line across the eyes and my guess is acrocrab Xanthasia spieces which is from Crustacea family but I can be wrong but that's what it looks to me. They clean the coral from the mucus, and any food the drops in there otherwise that food can kill the coral if is left there. They live in the coral for protection and clean it all the time. If you see a gree crab with what looks like hair then you need to get it out of sps.

Is better not to take a chance and can't trust a crab.

i didnt want to risk it this time because i got a coral with a crab in it a while ago and it bleached and died rather quickly. but wasnt sure it was the crab
