water change question

Wondering if rather than doing 10% water changes every week in doing 20% biweekly would have any adverse effects on my tank? Reason I ask is that its easier for me to mix four gallons of sw than two gallons.

i would stick with weekly WC's. but if its easier to mix 4g's, mix 4g's of SW. use half of it one week, the rest of it the next week.

You can always just use a skimmer.

You don't even have to skim all the time.

6-8 hours a day would be fine and then you don't have to change the water so often.
